If the ratio of raisins to M&Ms in a bag of trail mix was 2:3, that means that there are 2 raisins for every 3 M&Ms. This means that in a bag of 100 items, there would be 40 raisins and 60 M&Ms. I'm not sure what the ratio would be as a fraction (maybe 2/3?), but I do know that the fraction for the number of raisins in the whole bag is 2/5 and the fraction for the number of M&Ms is 3/5.
