For this case we have that a polynomial is of the form:

p (x) = ax ^ n + bx ^ {n-1} + ... + cx ^ 3 + dx ^ 2 + ex + f

Where:

a, b, c, d, e, f: They are the coefficients

n, n-1,3,2,1: They are the exponents, where n is to the degree of the polynomial because it is the largest.

x: It is the variable.

So, we have to:

x ^ 5 + 3 is a polynomial of degree 5.

Answer:

x ^ 5 + 3
