Answer:

G' = (1,4)

H' = (-4,5)

I = (-8,2)

Explanation:

Given

G = (4,1)

H = (5,-4)

I = (2,-8)

Reflection:
y = x

Required

Determine the coordinates of G'H'I'

The following applies when a line A is reflected over
y = x

A = (x,y)

A' = (y,x)

i.e, we simply swap the positions of x and y

So, for:

G = (4,1)

H = (5,-4)

I = (2,-8)

The reflections are:

G' = (1,4)

H' = (-4,5)

I = (-8,2)
