Use the Rise and Run method.

To find the Rise, you simply count up or down the y-axis until you reach the second point's y-axis.

To find the Run, count right or left on the x-axis until you reach the second point's x-axis.

So, for this, you would start at (1,7) and count down to 1 for the Rise, and count right to 10 for the Run. Then, you would get this:

Rise = -6

Run = 9

Now, divide Rise by Run

-6/9 = -0.66, which is approximately -0.7 if you round it to the nearest tenth.
