Suppose we have an equation of the form

y1 = x1 * g1

And suppose we say

x2 = 12 * x1 (x1 increased 12 times)

g2 = (g1/4) (g1 decreased 4 times)

If we multiply x2 and g2 we get

y2 = x2*g2 = 12 * x1 * (g1/4) = 3* x1* g1

y2 = 3 *(x1 * g1) = 3* y1

The answer would increase by a factor of 3
