The mediterranean is a type of moderate climate. It has wet winters and dry summers. The avarage temperatures are 50 F in winter 80 F in summer with daily fluctuation. Temperatures rarely go below freezing. There are regular summer droughts. Its dominant ecosystem is Chaparral. Some of the Chaparral plants include olive trees, palm trees, and small bushes. Chaparral animals include eagles, lynx, wild boar, deer, foxes, and rabbits.
