I feel like he is saying that he is living in the joy or love of what he has created but that is just my opinion the meaningful textual evidence to support your answer is: "lived in a paradise of my own creation"

Answer:

Walton is satisfied with the kind of life he has chosen to live.

Step-by-step explanation:

In the first letter that along with the other two starts the story, we have a very satisfied and happy Walton telling his sister how the life he decided to have has been the right one. and even when his expedition has been delayed due to the wheater he expects this moment when he will go to the sea, this time has been the most perfect in his life.
