1. A jar contains five orange marbles numbered one to five. The jar also contains three green marbles numbered one to three. You randomly pick a marble.It is green or has an odd number.

I guess you want to know the probability of picking a green or an odd number.

The favourable events are O1, O3, O5, G1, G2, G3 where O = Orange and G = Green, a total of 6.

So since there are 8 marbles altogether the required probability = 6/8
