Due to the corresponding angle rule, the top right angle of the quadrilateral would equal 98 degrees.

Angles on a straight line equal 180 degrees therefore, we can calculate the bottom right angle of the triangle

180 - 98 = 82 degrees

The bottom left angle of the triangle would equal 85 degrees as vertically opposite angles are equal

Angles in a triangle equal 180 degrees so we can now calculate x

180 - (82 + 85) = 13

The answer is 13 degrees

Hope This Helps You!

Good Luck (:

Answer: x = 13°

Explanation:

You can use the big triangle or the small triangle. I chose to use the small triangle.

There are three angles in the small triangle:

  • 85 (vertical angle with 85) - green color on attachment
  • 82 (supplementary with 98) - purple color
  • x (unknown)

We can use the Triangle Sum Theorem to solve for x:

85 + 82 + x = 180

167 + x = 180

x = 13
