ANSWER: 643.7

We have to find the areas of both circles, and subtract the area of the smaller one from the bigger one. That will be the answer.

Area of a circle = pi times radius^2

So

Small circle:
A = 3.14 x 18 x 18
A = 1,017.36

Bigger circle:
A = 3.14 x 23 x 23
A = 1,661.06

So then we do:

1,661.06 - 1,017.36 which equals 643.7. That’s the area of the ring.

I hope this helped! (:
