Interpretation of axes and scales:
The horizontal axis (x-axis): There is time in seconds on the horizontal axis
Scale: 1 unit in the x-axis = 1 second
The vertical axis (y-axis): There is the distance in feet which is the height of the elevator from the ground on the horizontal axis
Scale: 1 unit in the y-axis = 20 feet
Interpretation of the origin:
The coordinate is represented by the point (0,0) in the graph. This means at time = 0 the height of the elevator =0, i.e the elevator is on the ground at the starting time.
