-3y +9 = 19y -2

subtract 9 from both side

-3y +9 -9 = 19y -2 -9

-3y = 19y -11

subtract 19y from both side

-3y - 19 y= 19y -11 -19y

-22y = -11

dividing by -22 both side

-22y/-22 = -11/-22

y = 1/2
