How is the movement of galaxies close to us different than the movement of galaxies farther from us?

your answer to this is

one stretches the rubber band the galaxies will move apart. The closer it is two galaxies are to each other, the more slowly as they appear to move apart. This is in an accordance with Mr. Hubble's Law, which states that the red-shift in light coming from distant galaxies is linearly proportional to its distance from Earth
