Answer:

Option (B)

Explanation:

The earth is comprised of nearly 70% of water bodies. These water bodies include the vast oceans, seas, rivers, and streams. The ocean behaves like a conveyor belt that carries warm water from the equator towards the poles, resulting in a large amount of precipitation. As this water reaches the poles it becomes cold and denser. Again, after a certain period of time, it carries the cold water back from the poles to the equator. This water circulation in the ocean helps in maintaining the global climatic conditions that balance the unequal supply of solar energy reaching on the surface of the earth.

Hence, the correct answer is option (B).

The answer is; B

Oceans currents circulate heat energy from the sun around the planet hence making the world temperatures more or less within a constant range. The sun heats the equatorial region more than the poles. Warm oceans currents from this region carry this heats toward the higher latitudes and the cold current from the poles cycle back to the equator.
