Bacteria's role in the nitrogen cycle is that bacteria transforms nitrogen into molecules.

Answer:

The process of nitrification, nitogen fixation and denitrification in nitrogen cycle is performed by bacteria.

Step-by-step explanation:

Nitrogen cycle is the process of conversion of nitrogen into different chemical forms as it circulates in the environment. Main steps of nitrogen cycle are nitrogen fixation, assimilation, ammonification, nitrification, denitrification and reduction of nitrate to ammonia.

Azotobacter bacteria fix the atmospheric nitrogen into nitrites and nitrates. Nitrosomonas bacteria convert ammonia into nitrates ( nitrification) and Pseudomonas under anaerobic condition converts the nitrates back into the nitrogen gas.
