Answer: x = 4

Explanation:

Here we have a piecewise function.

One piece works for values of x such that: -6 < x < 0

And the other piece works for values of x such that: 0 < x ≤ 4

Then the domain of this function is:

D = (-6, 0) U (0, 4]

Notice that, becuse we use the symbols ><, the values of x:

x = -6

x = 0

Do not belong to this domain.

While becuase we use the symbol ≤ in the right end, the value x = 4 does belong to the domain.

Then for the given options, the only value that belongs to the domain is the third option, x = 4.
