Islamic caliphates gained power through war
(they took over Palestine, Syria and Iraq and headed to defeat Byzantine Army).
Islamic caliphates consolidated their power by conquering new territories in Africa, trade and negotiation.
Islamic caliphates maintained all the power by enforcing the strict laws
they created and
building a strong government
based on the Islamic faith and rewarding money for military services.
