Answer:

The main issues when the sound was first introduction in the film was was synchronization. Because the pictures and sound were recorded and played back by separate devices, it was difficult to synchonized them and maintain in tandem. Sufficient playback volume was also hard to achieve. It was hard for silent scene writers to find the right balance in sound scripts between action and dialogue. Audience also complained that the actors don't match their voice (what they sound like) on their appearance (what they looked like).
