Os países capitalistas fizeram uma nova aliança e estabeleceram seu domínio sobre a Alemanha Ocidental. A URSS não aderiu à aliança e passou a ter influência direta sobre a Alemanha Oriental. Em 1961, foi erguido um muro separando as duas partes da cidade em capitalista e socialista: o muro de Berlim, que somente seria desmantelado ao final do conflito.

The capitalist countries made a new alliance and established their rule over West Germany. The USSR did not join the alliance and had a direct influence on East Germany. In 1961, a wall was erected separating the two parts of the city in capitalist and socialist: the wall of Berlin, that only would be dismantled at the end of the conflict.
