In a study, the number of students who said math is their favorite subject is shown by age group. There were 95 students with ages of 7-9, 105 students with ages of 10-12, 145 students with ages of 13-15, and 220 students with ages of 16-18. Which probability distribution table best reflects the data?

X P
7-9 0.2
10-12 0.3
13-15 0.1
16-18 0.4

X P
7-9 0.168
10-12 0.186
13-15 0.257
16-18 0.389

X P
7-9 0.324
10-12 0.167
13-15 0.245
16-18 0.28

X P
7-9 0.25
10-12 0.25
13-15 0.25
16-18 0.25

Answer:

The answer is the second table

7-9 ⇒ 0.168

10-12 ⇒ 0.186

13-15 ⇒ 0.257

16-18 ⇒ 0.389

Explanation:

∵ The number of the students in the group is:

95 + 105 + 145 + 220 = 565 students

∵ The group with ages of 7-9 is 95 students

∴ Pi = 95/565 = 0.168

∵ The group with ages of 10-12 is 105 students

∴ Pi = 105/565 = 0.186

∵ The group with ages of 13-15 is 145 students

∴ Pi = 145/565 = 0.257

∵ The group with ages of 16-18 is 220 students

∴ Pi = 220/565 = 0.389

The answer is the second table
