In a well-developed paragraph, identify and discuss the evolution of the liberal arts. Prior to about 1200 CE, cultural emphasis was on religion and the Church. Briefly discuss how the introduction of reason (through the liberal arts) created conflict with established power of the Church and religion. Be sure to briefly explain the liberal arts.
