The atom is composed of negatively charged electrons in a positive atom, embedded in it like raisins in a pudding (or pudding). By this comparison, it was that the assumption was called "Raisin Pudding Model." He presumed that the electrons were evenly distributed inside the atom, suspended in a cloud of positive charge. The atom was considered as a sphere with positive charge with electrons distributed as small granules. The main tool with which Thomson counted for his atomic model was electricity.
