x= -4

Explanation:

6(x+2)-(2x-4) = 0 (make it equal to 0 to be able to solve for x)

6x + 12 - 2x + 4 = 0 (distributed)

4x + 16 = 0 (added alike terms)

4x = -16 (moved the 16 to the other side and leave the x term alone)

x = -4 (solved for x by dividing -16/4)
