Let the image height = x
• 0.5:8=x:2
0.5/8=x/2
8x=1.0
x=1/8

Answer:

Image height = 0.125 m tall

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know that magnification is given by

m = (d_i)/(d_o) = (h_i)/(h_o)

now we know that

d_i = 2.0 m

d_o = 8.0 m

Also we know that

h_o = 0.50 m

now from above equation

(h_i)/(0.50) = (2.0)/(8.0)

h_i = 0.50 * (2)/(8) = 0.125 m

So image height will be 0.125 m
