We have to factor above expression.

Taking y as common from given expression, we have

y(x²-2x-24)

Applying factorization , we have

Splitting the middle term of above expression, we have

y(x²-6x+4x-24)

Making groups, we have

y(x(x-6)+4(x-6))

Taking x-6 as common, we have

y(x+4)(x-6) which is the answer.
