Nazim Hikmet was a poet that was born in the Ottoman Empire. He studied in the University of Moscow and he worked in many journals and he wrote Communist propaganda activities. Because of that, he was arrested for radical and subversive activities.
He moved to the Soviet Union and continued to work for the Communist ideal.
His life story shows why he sustains a person should be only occupied with living. He had a difficult time in jail and he had to focus on survival so he could hang until the end of his prison time.
