The correct answer is - C) Land breezes blow when land loses heat and cools down fast.

The land's and the water's thermal properties differ. While the water heats up and warms up slowly, the land is the opposite, it heats up and cools down very quickly.

When the Sun is set, thus when it is night, the land cools of very quickly. That results in the cooling off of the air masses above it. As the air masses are getting colder they also become heavier. The air masses above the sea are warmer than them, thus they are lighter, so the heavier, colder, land derived air masses move towards the sea and pushes away and up the warmer, lighter air masses.
