The mood that the author establishes in the excerpt of Robert Frost, "The Road not Taken" is one of danger.

This can be seen on the interrupted sentence on the fourth line, and also on the sigh of the first line, at the beginning. The idea of a road less traveled can be read as pointing the possible dangers and uncertainty of a route that wasn´t touched by many humans.
