How does bio degradable waste effect our environment

It doesn't affect the habitat of animals as poorly as some hard plastics do.

Biodegradable material doesn't build up in huge masses thus providing more room for people and the organisms surrounding us.

High amounts of biodegradable waste in water could lead to oxygen - starved water. Also, the waste can emit some greenhouse gases which contribute to global warming. A more simple idea would be the scent. It will tend to leave a foul smell.
