Do you think that talking about race and racial injustice, (either past and/or present) is necessary in order to promote change and awareness, or do you think that bringing up past and/or present injustices actually further increases the division and tension between different groups in society? Do you think that modern forms of institutional racism can correct themselves over time by not talking about racial difference, or is the conversation necessary in order to promote change? Finally, do you personally find it difficult to talk about the society-wide, macro-level group differences, when you can see many individual examples of someone at work or school working hard and succeeding, regardless of race? In other words, do you find it difficult to see these trends beyond your own personal experiences and interactions?
