Step-by-step explanation:

The molar mass of an element is always equal to it's relative atomic mass. So, basically, all we need to solve this problem is a periodic table containing the relative atomic mass of an element.

Example:

If we have 1 mole of Mercury, we know that the relative atomic mass of Mercury is 200.59, and therefore, the molar mass is also 200.59.

To find the mass of 1 mole of H

2

O look up the atomic mass of each element and multiply it by the number of atoms contained in each element in the molecule.

mass of 1 mole of H20=2 and mass of H + mass of O

Now, fill the atomic masses from the periodic table.

mass of 1 mole of H2O=2(1.00999999)+(16)

Simplify the result.

mass of 1 mole of H2O=18.01999998g
