Two ways to do it. You can find the area of each shape then add it. Or just use the area of a trapezoid formula.

So, this is two shapes, a rectangle and triangle. Area for a rectangle is base times height, and area of a triangle is 1/2 times base times height.

Square: b*h = 8*10= 80

Triangle: 1/2*4*8 = 16

Total Area: 80+16 = 96

Area of a trapezoid is the two bases added together then divided by 2 and then you take that number and multiply it by the height. One base is 10 and the other is 14 so that's (10+14)/2*8 = 96
