Answer:

The smallest zero is -3

Explanation:

h(x) = 4x^2 - 8x-60

To find the zero's we set the function equal to zero

0 = 4x^2 - 8x-60

Factor out a 4

0 =4(x^2 -2x-15)

What number multiplies to -15 and adds to -2

-5*3 = -15

-5+3 = -2

0 =4(x-5)( x+3)

Using the zero product property

0 = x-5 0=x+3

x=5 x=-3

The smallest zero is -3
