C. The great compromise is a compromise between the big states, who wanted representation based on population, and the small states, which wanted equal representation. We eventually decided to have two houses, one based on population, the other with equal representation. these are called the house of representatives and the senate, respectively. the senate has two representatives from each state, and there are 50 states, so the answer is 100 representatives, or C.
