To solve for the circumference, just multiply the diameter times pi:

22\pi

The area of a circle is equal to the radius squared times pi. In this case, we need to solve for the radius, which is half of the diameter.

1. Half of 22 is 11

2. 11 * 11 = 121

area = 121\pi
