Subjunctive
The subjunctive mood uses clauses that begin with "if" or "that" to express a recommendation, suggestion, or demand. Examples of the subjunctive mood are "The teacher requests that all essay be turned in by tomorrow. The rules state that running is not permitted in the hallways. I suggest that you turn down the music before the police are called. I demand that you stop your whining.
Indicative mood is used for statements of fact: My dog is a black lab. Imperative mood is used for specific commands: Sit down! Interrogative mood is used for questions: Will you go to the store?
