The length and breadth of a room are 3 meter and 4 meter. What is the length of the largest metallic rod that can be placed in it

Length = l = 3 m ,

Breadth = b = 4 m

Length of the Longest rod placed in

the room = length of the diagonal of the floor

= √ l² + b²

= √ 3² + 4²

= √ 9 + 16

= √ 25

= 5
