Answer is -3 11/24
We know we have
-5/6 added to -2 5/8
First we have to make the denominator the same for both fractions. 24 is a number that is divisible by both 6 and 8. See attachment for the math.
Now we have -20/24 and -2 15/24
Combine negative numbers to add them together.
Now we have -2 35/24, you need to reduce to simplest terms. Your fraction -35/24 is an improper fraction so divide -35/24 and you get -1 11/24 so combine that with your -2 for a total of
-3 11/24
Add. −5/6+(−2 5/8) Enter your answer as a simplified fraction by filling in the boxes-example-1
