What is the difference between "urban" and "suburban"? How can this difference account

for the growth of American suburbs after World War II?

The difference between urban and suburban is population. During WW1 and WW2 people were living in urban areas due to the need for jobs and mass production, when the war had ended people started leaving the urban area and started living in the suburbs to try and get away from the high density areas
