For this case we have that, by definition, a quadratic equation is of the form:


ax ^ 2 + bx + c = 0

In addition, its roots are given by:


x = \frac {-b \pm \sqrt {b ^ 2-4 (a) (c)}} {2a}

If we have the following equation:


\frac {1} {4} x ^ 2 + 5 = 0

So we have to:


a = \frac {1} {4}


b = 0, there is no term that accompanies x.


c = 5

Asnwer:


a = \frac {1} {4}\\b = 0\\c = 5
