The answer is; The chromosome of two diploid cells split apart at the centromere

This is similar to mitosis. In Meiosis I, the cell's chromosomes are halved to give two diploid cells. In meiosis II, the chromosomes in each of the diploid cells split into two at the centromere and the sister strands move to different poles. This ultimately forms 4 diploid cells called gametes.
