Answer: 270 g

Step-by-step explanation:

The density of a substance tells you the mass of exactly one unit of volume of said substance.

  • Density Al= 2.70 gm/cm^-3
  • Every 1 mL of Aluminium has a mass of 2.70g.
  • Use the density of Al as a conversion factor to go from cubic cm of Al to grams.

100cm^3 x 2.70g/ 1cm^3= 270 g

  • You would cross out the cm^3, so that grams are left.
  • Then you will multiply 100 and 2.70 and you should get 270.
  • The answer is rounded to three sig figs.

density=2.70

volume=100

mass=density*volume

so,

2.7*100=270

mass is 270gram
