A typical Italian meal would include courses that contain proteins, carbohydrates and fats such as a starter salad followed up with spaghetti & meatballs (carbs, fats & protein). Also, wine is an alcohol which is a fermented sugar which is a carb as well. These food groups (minus wine) are nutrients, but rather macronutrients to be consumed in larger amounts vs micro nutrients which are contained within them as your essential vitamins & minerals such as all your vitamin D’s, calcium, Omega 3s, Vitamin C, iron, potassium, etc.
