Hello!

The answer are:

1 - LNG May production = 94.438 Tons

2 - 104.489 Tons of LNG will be produced on November

Why?

From the statement we know that the LNG production increases by 1.7% each month, meaning that each month production will be the production of the last month multiplied by 1.017 (100% + 1.7%).

So, to find the May production, we need to find first the April production using the March production

So, april production will be:

AprilProduction=MarchProduction*1.017=92859Tons\\\\MayProduction=AprilProduction*1.017=94437.82Tons\\\\JuneProduction=MayProduction*1.017=96043.26Tons\\\\JulyProduction=JuneProduction*1.017=97676Tons\\\\AugustProduction=JulyProduction*1.017=99336.49Tons\\\\SeptemberProduction=AugustProduction*1.017=101025.21Tons\\\\OctoberProduction=SeptemberProduction*1.017=102742.64Tons\\\\NovemberProduction=OctoberProduction*1.017=104486.17Tons

Have a nice day!

Answer:

i) May production = 94,438 tons

ii ) November

Explanation:

Given: Each month LGP production increased by 1.7%.

We have to find April and May.

March production = 91,307

April production = 91, 307 + 1.7% of 91, 307

= 91, 307 + 1552

=92,859

May production = 92, 859 + 1.7% of 92, 859

= 92, 859 + 1579

May production = 94,438 tons

June production = 94, 438 + 1.7%of 94,438

June = 96,043

July production = 96, 043 + 1.7% of 96,043

July = 97,676

August production = 97,676 + 1.7% of 97,676

August = 99,336

Sep production = 99, 336 + 1.7% of 99,336

Sep = 101,025

October production = 101,025 +1.7% of 101,025

Oct = 102,742

November production = 102742 + 1.7% of 102, 742

Nov = 104489 tons

Thank you.
