There were many ways in which Stalin used propaganda in order to control his people. One of the most obvious ones was that Stalin tried to project an image of fatherly love for his country and his people. Through the use of propaganda, Stalin tried to create an image of himself that was similar to that of a benevolent father. This allowed him to make drastic decisions for the country with little or no input from others. This paternalistic attitude was one of the most important and recognizable elements of his government.
