Explanation:

Since the triangle is right we can use the sine ratio to find h

sin48° =
(opposite)/(hypotenuse) =
(h)/(18)

Multiply both sides by 18

18 × sin48° = h

⇒ h = 13.4 cm ( to 1 dec. place )
