A successful food web needs to have all of the organisms mostly bigger than the ones that they are eating otherwise the food web wouldnt neccessarily work properly and then the food webs would all be messed up.

Answer:

Amount of matter produced by the producers should be more than that of the consumers.

Step-by-step explanation:

Matter and energy are lost with each successive step of the food chain. Therefore, for a food web to be functional and successful, the total amount matter produced by the producers be more than that of the consumers they support.
