Numerous "Anti-Communist" insurgencies occurred after the Second World War ended in 1945.

In Russia, the "White Movement", composed of anti-communist forces fought the Bolsheviks, also known as "The Reds" until they were suppressed in 1960.

In Eastern Europe, revolts including Polish "Curse Soldiers" in 1963, Bulgarian "Goryani" in 1960 and the "Ukranian Insurgent Army" in 1956 all occurred against the Communist Regime.
