Solve the following for y: −6x + 2y = 8

A )y = −6x + 8
B) y = 6x + 8
C) y = −3x + 4
D) y = 3x + 4
I'm fairly certain it's C, just need reassurance.

Answer:

D) y = 3x + 4

Explanation:

−6x + 2y = 8

Add 6x to each side

−6x+6x + 2y =6x+ 8

2y = 6x+8

Divide by 2

2y/2 = 6x/2+8/2

y = 3x+4
