Length of the rectangle is 40 meters.

Explanation:

  • Step 1: Ratio of width:length = 4:5, so let width be 4x and length be 5x. Find the length if area = 2000 sq. m

Area of the rectangle = length × width

2000 = 5x × 4x

2000 = 20x²

⇒ x² = 2000/20 = 100

∴ x = 10

4x = 40 m
